Amazing value but HEAVY
The FW website does not explain these jammers very well, so I'll explain how they work. They attach to the rack uprights using a wrap-around box which is lined with UHMW plastic and closed with two bolts. When attached they become a permanent part of the rack. You are not going to wish to remove them; it would not be convenient. They are secured at a given height using the 25mm pins. You move them up by removing the pins and lifting/pushing the assembly up the upright. It is not a trolley system, but close to it, it is a low-friction sliding system. They are VERY HEAVY and you need to be quite strong already to push them up the rack, or control them coming down. To get them to the top of the rack I would probably have to stand on something. Then you have to hold them with one hand while securing with at least one pin. This is not that easy as they can get displaced slightly to one side, there is a few mm leeway in the sliding system, and the holes need to correspond exactly to get pinned.
The arms are supported at a particular starting angle by a pin which passes through holes in two circular steel plates and under the arm. The arm can also be fixed completely by passing the pin through a hole in the arm, rather than under it. This is useful for using the arm as a replacement upright to which you can secure j-cups, spotter arms, etc (as it is never going to be removed).
The handle and weight pin assembly is best installed after you have got the arm to the desired…
